I am doing my annual Freddie King birthday tribute radio show on KNON 89.3 FM this Friday, August 31, from 6 pm to 8 pm on Texas Blues Radio.  Two hours of nothing but Freddie King from throughout his career.  I will be featuring some rare alternate takes, acoustic, live recordings, and a few tracks where Freddie accompanies other artists.  I have been doing this special tribute show for more than 25 years around Freddie King's birthday (September 3rd).  I do not have any special guests planned this year, but many of Freddie's children and his old band members still live around Dallas and Fort Worth.  I never know who might drop by.  Freddie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year.  He is buried in Sparkman Hillcrest here in Dallas.  http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=1240
