KNON 89.3 FM – Repairing & Rebuilding
On October 20th, 2019, KNON took a direct hit from an EF3 tornado that passed through Dallas, Texas. The station was knocked off the air and we were forced to relocate the entire KNON broadcast station and administration offices. 10/22 – We start broadcasting from an emergency setup at the base of our radio tower in Cedar Hill.

10/25 – KNON’s internet streaming comes back online!
11/20 – KNON-FM is back on the air with a new home after tornado damage
11/26 – KNON Moves Out of Scorpion-Infested Temp Space, Finds Permanent Home
12/14 – KNON Staff, DJs & volunteers moved furniture from old studio that survived the tornado into our new location on Coit road.
12/19 – We make a small upgrade to our broadcasting board. KNON DJ Lee Russell loaned us one of his sound boards to use until we find a new one or fix our old one. The new board got plugged in and sounds much better than what we were on since the tornado.
