KNON Format: Hip-Hop Gospel Kelton Je’Von is a emerging Gospel artist with an immense passion for crafting mesmerizing music. Born in Dallas, Texas, on December 25, 1995, he moved to Grand Prairie, Texas, at the age of five. Growing up, he initially aimed to pursue a career in architecture but soon found his true passion in music. Despite being raised in a Christian household, Kelton’s musical freedom allowed him to gain knowledge andunderstanding of various music genres. R&B and Hip-Hop have significantly influenced his music, helping him develop a distinctive style. He began writing songs at the age of seven. 
 Many years later, Gospel veteran Kirk Franklin and an host of Dallas Gospel legends entered his life as a beacon of hope, encouraging him to follow his dreams and never give up. Kelton holds a degree in recording arts and enjoys blending Gospel, Hip-Hop, and R&B to bring new life to the genre. His primary objective is to save souls and change the narrative, aiming to remove the stigma associated with Christianity through music. He describes himself as “a servant of God who just deeply loves music.” 
 In April 2022, Kelton had the opportunity to step into the world of radio and is now part of the KNON 89.3FM family in Dallas, Texas, where he plays the freshest sounds in Christian Hip-Hop and Contemporary Gospel. You can catch Kelton Je’Von, his father Kelby Johnson Sr., and his brother, Grammy Award-winning producer KelbyOnTheTrack, every Sunday from 10 AM to 12 PM on KNON 89.3FM on his show “Pushin’ Praise” carrying the torch of the late Rick Leday.
